Wuis' staff is getting married!

today  9:30AM NEW YAWK time is exactly when the wedding will take place in the NETHEWLANDS


wuis' typist is getting mawwied to her long time pawtnew and long befowe we even got the invitation the gang (kawl, gracie, momo, opus and ollie, and myself) had aweady decided to cwash the wedding anyhow!
we wented a nice little vacation house in heel, Limbuwg, the Nevew Lands whewe Wuis lives.

then we took the MFV and dwove ovew to wuis' house to unpack ouw pwesents and the cake and set up for a nice cocktail pawty befowe the wedding.
we had just stawted to unload when wuis scweams NO! and tells us we awe actually unloading at the neighborw house, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  typical, hehehehehe

we put the table wif the pwesents (pink champews and chocolates) on the side of the yawd

and after hanging the first decorations we all got vewy tempted by that chocolate cake....we just had to twy a little hehehehehehehe

Tapping My HeawtOut

 

This last week was the annooal  Tap Festival pwodooced by my "unkel" Tony

 As oosooal, it was fantastic!!!! 

 (if you'we evew in NewYawk in July  awound this time , you should absolutely go see a pawfowmance)

We've been lucky  to see at least one pawfowmance  evewy yeaw since it was founded..This yeaw, I decided to pawfowm a numbew myself, but unkel tony had to ham it up and wun on stage in middle of my pawfowmance

 This yeaw's pawfowmance we attended was a salute to the COPASETICS the mastews of swing..one of theiw signitoowe dances was a Chaiw Dance..hewe's how it came about:

The Story of the Chair Dance

The Chair Dance began in New York in Harlem at the Hoofer's Club, a famous hangout of some of the most legendary tap dancers in the world. This place was given to tap dancers to come and dance or practice. Dancers that didn't have a place to stay, would come there and try to get a little sleep. But the owner didn't allow sleeping, and if caught they would be thrown out.So the dancers, while sitting in a chair, would tap their feet and try to take a little catnap. This developed into the Chair Dance.

 Mommi was lucky enuff to know "Honey" Coles...he's the second fwom the left and was one of the most wondewful dancews evew and a twoo gentleman

This dance was performed on stage and made famous by "The Copasetics". Reggio has been partnering for 13 years with the 90 year old Earnest "Brownie" Brown, the only living, dancing "Copasetic".

I decided to join  Bwownie Bwown  and Weggio in a vewsion of the Chaiw Dance(Bwownie was only thewe in spiwit since he is a tapping angel now)

I wish you could all have been thewe..it was a magical night wif bootiful moosic
( piano,base,weeds and dwums) and sometimes singews and even a numbew wif yoo loo lay lees
Billy Stway Hown ( don't wowwy, he was a moosician and composew ,NOT a stway ) was one of the stawtews of the Copasetics too and his moosic was feetoowed

I can't descwibe how pawfect it all was wif the joy going back and fowf fwom the pawfowmews and the audience

Asta's dweadful day is saved by hew BFF

Oh Woe is me, you can not imagine the most dweadful day I've had..hoomiliating, teedioos, and painful!

Mommi twied to kill gwoom me today...it took hew FIVE houws...did you heew that? FIVE

Fiwst she made my head totally nakid,  oh, and also my chest , and then, awe you weady??????
hewe's the wowstest pawt....she cut my toe ,ummm, nail pwactically totally off

Daddi wan to my wun whewe in the shed thewe was some stiptic powdew(thanks to unkel Wandy and auntie Twacie) while Mommi twied to stench the gushing of my bloods all ovew

She was suwe she had muwdewed me and was cwying and pwessing and twying to use the stoopid stiptic pencil that didn't wowk
well, Daddi finally got back and the powdew wowked and I didn't bleeds to deaf

 but that does not mean that I am pleased ow happy about this whole howwibull expewience

on the plus side..I don't think wshe's going to twy this fow quite some time , if evew again

When I got back fwom my walk, Mommi saw  how sad I was, she bwought out a most specialest new Wallymelon that my BFF Lacie had sent me a while ago, but because she's mean    (see hew muwdewoos instincts above)

she didn't give it to me befowe   (she claims, she was saving it fow a special occasion,sheeesh)

I wan stwaight to bed wif it aftew thwowing it awound all ovew tha apawtmen..it makes a most satisfying cwunchy sound as well as tasting gweat

Daddi was twying to watch TV and claimed I was blocking  the way fow the clickew to weach it, but I think he was pwobably just wishing he had a gweat new stuffy like I did

What????

Hello sweet fwiends

As you can see, I managed to dwag my Mommi back to being my secwetawy

I convinced hew that not being pawt of my pecious commoonity of fwiends  will make ouw life mowe misewabull than any of hew pwoblems

so hewe I am to tell you about my Fouwf of July day

It was a bootiful wawm, cleaw day hewe in Man hattan

we didn't even have the aiw conditionew on..just the windows open bwought nice aiw in

we dwagged a small table ovew to the window so that when ouw fwiends came ovew, we could eat and watch the fiwewowks in comfowt

When awe they coming Mommi?????

we watched as the cwowds gathewed on the piew outside of ouw window, and the boats  along wif the bawges that would shoot off the fiwewowks ..thewe's so many hoomans thewe, they look like antses

ouw fwiends bwought the food and dwinkies...a salad vewsion of Buffalo chicken yummmmm

umm, let me just twy that to make suwe it's edibull

the sky tuwned all sowts of bootiful colows as we kept looking out

mowe and mowe ships gathewed as it got dawkew

then it finally stawted

and the lights on the Empiwe State Building got vewy patwiotic

Mommi went sowt of mad and taped mowe of the  fiwewoks than anyone should, hehehehe

Make suwe to tell youw pawents to tuwn off the sound if you'we in the woom and hate fiwewoks

in between watching, we kept eating

hewe's some mowe fiwewoks..I am vewy vewy lucky, (some might say an ab a wation)

I enjoy watching and don't get upset by the sounds at all

aftew all the food and bwownies wif whipped cweam, we had some patwiotic colowed boobewwies and Wally Melon

we wewe oohing and ahhhhing , it was all sooo  bootiful

in past yeaws, we could see the fiwewoks fwom ouw window, but it's nevew been this pawfectly close

then it got all quiet as the cwowds went home, and the boats went to theiw docks and I said goodnight to evewyone and went to bed fow a lovely nights sneep
