I hope all of you had a wondewful Mothew's day! We celebwated all weekend. I'll show you the pictoowes fwom Satuwday tomowwow, but today, I want to show you ouw Sunday.

Auntie Kawen came ovew and we all cooked togethew.

The foodables awe home made wavioli, Scallops wif aspawaGUS, and Basmati wice wif (gingew-whole mustawd seed/peanuts and tuwmuwic all toasted togethew)

Duffy and I played like maniacs.
We ate, we dwank, we laughed celebwated ouw Mommi's and finished the evening wif Ice cweam.
It was pawfect!

Mommi Day

I took Mommi out fow a walk on the nice Spwing stweets in ouw neighbowhood. This is one of ouw favowitest town houses..I think billionawes live thewe, but it suwe is pwetty

We love the flowewing twees and the fwesh spwing gween

and in many places thewe is a cawpet of blossoms that fell fwom the twees

aftew a wainstowm alll the flowews awe so fwesh and spawkly
When I talk to Mommi about what she wants fow Mommi day, she aways says stuff like, "Ooh, I just want Daddi and you Asta to be healthy and wif me fuwwevew. I know she means it, but I also know a few secwets. She would love to have gobs of money to adopt all the aboosed homeless doggies in the wowld, and a magic wand to take huwt away and make all the puppy mills disappeaw and put all the bad hoomans who huwt us in little cages wif no bafwooms and all cwowded togethew and no food ow fwesh watew.

(I know this makes Mommi sound evil, she weally isn't except those types of gweedy hoomans bwing out hew evilness.)

I also know thewe is a building neaw us that she always says would be the dweam place to live
hewe it is:

it belongs to Donna Kawen, and she has tons of othew houses and doesn't weally use it. Hew Husband used to have his sculptoowe studio in it.
When I win the lottewy , I'm buying it fow Mommi . I think it would be a nice suwpwise fow hew. We could adopt a lot of doggies fwom sheltews and womp inside and out..thewe's tons of woom, even a gawage fow two caws(unheawd of in Manhattan)..of couwse then we'd have a caw too and could visit all ouw fwiends on weekends, hehehe


Well, I didn't win yet, and Mommi says she is supew Happy to just have me and Daddi to walk wif and snuggle..a pawfect Mommi's Day , she says.

Deep thoughts and contests

I've been thinking sewious thoughts while walking in the lovely spwing aiw..mostly I was thinking of many of my fwiends who awe wescoo doggies, and who thankfully have found loving homes but continoo to have medical and social pwoblems because of the howwible tweatment they got in theiw eawly lives.

WE NEED TO STOP PUPPY MILLS!!!! These animals suffew while they awe thewe and fwom the abuse, they suffew even aftew being wescood.

Here is Merci with Nolan at Cheryl's right after they were rescued. Merci, always being the mom, cleans Nolans ears.

Nolan lives in Illinois with Christine and Joe. He is their gentle giant. Nolan has been very ill too and goes in for his Endoscopy on Tuesday. He has been vomiting blood and has chronic diarreha. My fear is that Nolan has many of the same issues as Merci. We pray and hope they find the cause of his issues and are able to start him on the road to recovery along with Merci

My fwiends Fergie and Jake awe also fwom a howwid sitooation, and Fergie hasn't been feeling pawfect and will have to have a pwoceedoowe soon..pleez visit them too.

I love all my fwiends and hate the suffewing hoomans can inflict on them. Thewe's a lot to think about, and twy to figoowe out how to fix. Pleez twy to help whewevew you can..I know all of you cawe the same way I do.

Aftew ouw spectacoolaw wedding we had anothew bootiful suwpwise waiting fow us in ouw woom..a lettew wif tickets and an explanation:

On behalf of "the gang" (Karl, Ruis, Momo, Sassy, Olive and myself), I am sending along this wedding gift for Myrna & Gibert.
We are sending you on a romantic weekend to THE MOST romantic city in the world, Venice. We are putting you up at the Gritti Palace Hotel located on the Grand Canal.


There you will be guests in the honeymoon suite. We have a arranged a romantic dinner for two on a terrace over looking the Grand Canal.

After dinner, you will be taken to the world famous Harry's Bar

where you enjoy the WORLD FAMOUS Bellini cocktail, which is said to have been invented at Harry's.


After your drinks, you will be taken on a sunset ride in a beautiful gondola.

We all went to a vewy Auwstwian place fow the stawt of the weception..I was not happy seeing all those bootiful howns on the wall, so we moved things eventooally to a diffewent place

fow some weason, my BFF Lacie was centew stage hewe, hehehe, wif Myrna and Gilbewt ovew on the side next to my Stanley Love.
Tanner was wif Miss La Bwadow(isn't that the sexiest dwess she is weawing??totally the latest coo-touw), but kept fliwting wif Lacie too..tsk,tsk..and he's a mawwied man, on second thought he might just be showing off his fencing moves.
Kousin Koobuss looked so pwetty in hew yellow hat , that she decided to keep it on the whole time. I think that pawticoolaw shade of blue that Teka has on is faboolous fow hew fuw. don't you?

Myrna had changed hew dwess cause some boy..I won't mention any names ow anything, but he has been known to stain things accidently spilled stuff on hew wedding dwess, so while it was being quickly sponged and pwessed, she wowe one of hew othew dwesses

all of a sudden thewe was a commotion and befowe we knew it..Mywna had disappeawed.....................................

in germany there is a tradition to "kidnap" the bride after the ceremony some friends kidnap the bride and drive her to a 'kneipe' (german bar/restaurant - usually the grooms main drinking hole so he knows where to look) where they start eating and drinking. once the groom has found them he has to pay the bill and gets his bride back. traditionally he also has to bring a lantern (to show his bride the way home) a broom (to sweep the crowd out of the bar) and a rope (to bind the kidnappers). and money. to pay the bill... we cats decided that this is a nice tradition. so we kidnapped the bride, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA we took her to the Gasthof Maria Plein wine cellar, and i believe what tintin is drinking would be a very nicely aged chateauneuf du pape, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (of couwse this was all Karl's idea)


of couwse wif his histowy of passing out and am-kneesha, evewyone expected Gilbewt to collapse.
Dr Piewwe as well as Sullivan his best man, and Stanley wewe standing by to catch him.

What they didn't count on was that Gilbewt was a changed wheeley! Somehow full of action and wesponsibility.
No one was going to keep him fwom his bwide!!!!!

He got all the cash, and the wope,(well weally it was a wope toy wif tennis ball, but who has othew stuff awound), the lantewn and the bwoom ..and he set off to find his Mywna


he found hew safe and sound and they all had a good laugh and a little dwink to celebwate

By now hew dwess had been cleaned too and Myrna could put it on fow hew fiwst waltz wif hew hewo-husband Gilbewt.



evewyone stood out of the way to see them dance..it was as if they wewe wolling on aiw!
As a special gift, Mommi got them bootiful lilac colowed baccawat champagne glasses.
They cut the cake and we all toasted to theiw happiness.

Thewe wewe of couwse some pwetty funny toasts, but I blush at the thought of wecounting them to you sweet weadews.

Some time in the eawly mowning we all finally went to bed. I was unable to get a photogwaph of the inside of the honeymoon sweet...Myrna and Gilbewt awe old fashioned and vewy pwivate.

As in all good hotels, we left ouw shoes and wheels out to be polished ovewnight

I did get a snap of Mr and Mrs. Kwoonsky-Kweit sneaking out of the hotel while evewyone slept off the celebwations of the night befowe...I have no idea whewe they awe going on theiw honeymoon
