Dweam come twoo Twip beginning

Aftew getting the phone call fwom Petey, I wealized I am ackshooally going to AFWICA!
Can you believe it?
Mango and Petey invited me to go along .
Supposedly , they think I'm the only one who knows how to contwol Lacie

CONTWOL hew ??? hehehehehehehehehehehe..do I look like a lion tamew????

Anyway. I'm soopew excited. I'm shoowe it will be twemendous fun. Lacie is my BFF and has nevew caused me the slightestest pwoblem..we will be wooming togethew.

I quickly thwew a few things in suitcases, then owdewed just a few things fwom the Safawi stowe.
My doowman was a little miffed when the delivewies took up the whole lobby.

Petey picked me up, and helped me load my things.
He's such a doll.
It's nice to be awound a guy who knows that shopping is an impawtant pawt of life.
You don't want to go unpwepawed, so he had almost no objections to swinging by Bewgdowfs to pick up a few last minute gifts fow ouw host and the othews on the twip
We had to take the covew off the back of his twuck to fit in evewything..
now it's off to the aiwepawt..I hope the plane is big enuff.

We wewe met at the hangew by Mango and Lacie

Mango was a little suwpwised by ouw pawltwy luggage and wouldn't even help wif the loading..Petey and Lacie and I had to do it all

Finally on boawd (thank dog, even though it was a cawgo plane, the cabin had a few luxoowies)
Petey was able to set up his camewa and get this shot of us

photo - Dexter, Baby Stan, Lacie, Tanner (I think I see his bindi dot!) Petey, and Asta and lovely leggy flight attendants Honey and Miss Kylie.

Aftew a delightful twip, we finally awwived on the Afwican continent and made ouw way wif the help of some fwiendly natives who gave us diwections to Max's House

these guys laughed at ouw outfits, and map which appeawantly was of nowf afwica instead of South Afwica..sheeeshhhhhh (I shouldn't have Tanner been in chawge of getting maps)

some natives wewe tewwibly aloof

othews wewe luckily taking a nap

finally we found a weally fwiendly nellyfant who happened to be a neighbow. He waved to us and said to just stay on this woad and we'd be at Max's in no time
we made it! we found Max's house!

MJ,( Mango's giwlfwiend), Khyra ( the bootiful floofy tailed giwl wif the magnificent smile), Honey, and Miss Kylie wewe aweady thewe
( i think they decided to make theiw own way, when they got tiwed of us unloading a few of ouw things)

Max and his live in Giwlfwiend Tammy wewe patiently waiting fow us on theiw fwont steps.

He was concewned when he saw ouw luggage, but I assowed him that I didn't need to bwing all the stuff in..I pwovided a tent fow a few essentials. and found the pawfect spot to set it up.

tah dah!!!!, I think this will do nicely

(Asta and a few essentials)

Gosh,I shoowe hope that I didn't fowget anything

(well, duh, if you insist on weawing a mini skiwt and high heels fow twecking thwough souf afwica.................)

Pawsonally, I can't wait to see evewything in this bootiful countwy and meet all the natives!

(make shoowe to biggify the pictoowes, and click on undewlined names so that you can see what the othews on the twip have to say about it)

smoochie kisses

Oh my dogness! You were doing all of this AND helping us out at the same time!? You are AMAZING, SissieAsta! Have a wonderful wonderful time! We can hardly wait to see more about your adventure. We know it's going to be really exciting.

One question: WHY did you take bikinis?
Another question: Will you bring us an souvenir? Maybe a nellyfant? No. Too big. Maybe a small wood carving? No. Quarantines'll may prevent that. Maybe a fancy ostrich egg? No, too fragile to carry. JUST BRING PICTURES AND LOTS OF MEMORIES! OK?

Luv,

What a group. And we're surprised Khyra is able to travel again so soon after the Hams of the World Tour. Crystal and Buddy are sleeping off all that ham.

Have a great trip. Don't do any shopping or you'll have to hire your own plane to get home. (hehe, only kidding.)

Oh Asta. please do be careful.

We know you have packed for every eventuality but just watch out for those lurking lions and worst of all rampaging rhinoceros.

If Lacie has problems with bugs just think of her reaction if she comes nose to nose with one of those great big horns!

Hey Asta!
Hope your safari trip is going well! Love the music on your blog! We can't help but notice that some of your luggage is Louis Vuitton! A girl after our own hearts! There is no such thing as over-packing as far as my mom & I are concerned! Better to be over-prepared than caught off guard, eh?
