A MOST JOYOUSLY AWAITED VISIT

You can't imagine the joy, when the day finally awwived that I would get to meet in pawson wif my adoptewed sissie Fewgie and Bwofuw Jake

We decided quite a while ago, that we wanted to be a family, even though we live on opposite sides of this gweat big countwy

I sat impatiently waiting fow them to awwive

Fewgie and Jake's Momma and hooman sissie Nina have been taking them on a most wondewful hoomongous summew twip..meeting soo many fuwwfwiends along the way, and now it was ouw tuwn..they wewe hewe in Manhattan finally

Jakey is an explowew and bwavely got up on the window sill to look at the sights out ouw window
while my sissie Fewgie cautiously explowed the apawtment

the gweat thing was , they felt comfowtable, and we loved each othew immediately just like I knew we would

...all thwee of us walking togethew down the blazing hot stweets
we stopped fow a west and a snack at  one of my favowitest samich places in the village
ouw expectations wewe not in vain..we got some yummies(how could anyone wesist those faces of theiws?)

then ouw walk took us all the way to Washington Squawe Pawk
and thankfully to the fountain...Jakey was the fiwst to scope it out
then bof Fewgie and I got intewested
(doesn't Fewgie have  the loveliest smile???)
the spway of watew was soo welcome..it was a nothew blasted hot day
(auntie Sally was just so happy that we wewe togethew and loved each othew)
we continood ouw toow and I showe  them my favowite bookstowe. I discovewed Fewgie's love of books(look how happy she looks)
we wewe anxious to go wead(ow possibly to get out of the heat, hehehehehe)

finally at home, it was time fow cocktails and Jakey and Fewgie joined wight in

then a little snooze befowe dinnew

somehow  Mommi got to busy to take pictoowes of us eating, but west assowed, we all got nibbles and tastes

The next mowning, we wewe set to have anothew gweat day togethew, stawting wif shawing Mommi's toast
it seems the love of toast wuns in the family, hehehehehehe

wif full tummies we all settled down fow a mid mowning nap

then all of a sudden, thewe was unhappiness, and we felt it ,
we got westless and didn't know what to do
(Daddi called and told mommi he was coming home because he no longew had his job)

Jake hugged Mommi and licked hew teaws

I'm so sowwy that they had theiw good time wuined by ouw moods, but wew'e so gwateful fow all the love and suppowt they gave us
now Fewgie and Jake and Auntie Sally and Nina Giwl awe on theiw way again..seeing mowe fwiends, having lovely adventoowes..you'll be able to see those when you visit theiw bloggie

Oh Asta, we love you and your Mommi and Daddi so much, and of course Jake and Fergi and their family too. So we were happy to read that you all had such a wonderful time together. But now, we are worried and are sending you lots of 'be strong' vibes across the Atlantic as you deal with all the uncertainties you have just now.
Bestest wishes,

We are so sorry your wonderful visit was made less wonderful by your Daddi's news, but cannot think of a more supportive and wonderful group of friends to have on hand at that terrible time.

That said, muzzer assures me that someone out there will recognize your Daddi's brilliance and compassion and offer him the best ever position !

Have you given any more thought to being a cover model?

Thanks so much for sharing your visit with Jake and Fergi, Asta! As usual, you did a teriffic job showing us around town-love that bookstore!

Lets all get together and send good "job vibes" to each other! I really am serious! :-) Parental Unit has been applying for jobs all summer with no luck, but likely will return to her adjunct teaching position in late August-which will not enough to keep us in our house, I'm afraid.
So I will keep paws crossed and send out good vibes for your Daddi to find something that he just loves!

Asta. Sweet Sissie Asta. We didn't have all the right words then. We still don't. Being with you was the most amazing thing we could have ever imagined. The Family that blended across the miles came together all in one room. Just as we hoped and believed (and knew) it would. It's hard to believe that we haven't been together times and times before. Close and connected. You proved just what love for one another means. We hope that the memories of our time together help to make the next few weeks a bit easier. provide some distraction, and maybe even promote some creative thinking. (We did get creative, together, we would say. After all, how else would we have so nicely shared space and time in such a kind and gentle way?)

Know we are with you right now, even though we're not in the same room any more. We're still full of hugs (Jake) and longing eyes (Fergi). And know you have made our lives so much richer. We know what is really important in life, and you have greatly reminded us of that. Knowing that will help us ALL through anything.

Love. Smoochie kisses (just like you taught us)

Dear Asta,
first of all sorry not to have visited you for such a long time. I am so sorry for the news about your Daddy. Sad thing happen unluckily. But the important thing is that you are all healthy. Your daddy is a good dad and he will surely find a new job. It is a bit difficult because it really gets to your nerves when these things happen, you start to believe that you will never find another one but it is not so. Tell your dad to keep having faith in his capabilities and everything will turn out fine you will see.

I am really sorry your visit was partly ruined by this news, you were having such a good time! I was so envy to see you walking around to such nice places! I see so many films about your city... Who knows if one day me or my humans will ever come and visit it... If we do we will let you know!

Keep cheering up your parents - I know you are really good at it!
They need you!

Hi sweet Asta,

We're so sorry we're a bit late leaving you a message. We hate to think of you and your family being sad, we hope you're all feeling a bit better.

Our FH knows how your daddy feels - she lost her job in London nearly 2 years ago. She decided to make a huge change in her life after it happened and we actually came along as a result of this - she says we remind her of when her whole life took a different direction! We hope your daddy has as positive experience in the long run as our FH did. FH says it took her a long time to get her head round it but knows now that it was one of the best things that happened to her, although she didn't think it at the time - or for quite a while afterwards.

You take time to look after your family during this difficult time - we'll be thinking of you.

Asta dearest we hardly have words to tell you how sorry we are to read your terrible news about your daddy losing his jobbie.
Our Lapdaddy gotted his pink slip last year too...and it didn't even look good on him like it would have on mommy. We were very sad then and worried where my next can of Fancy Feast would come from. To help make ends meet up a little bit, Lapdaddy took a minimum wage jobbie running rental cars all over Washington state. We miss him when he is gone and look forward to the door opening and him hanging up his keys, filling the tea kettle and saying HI HONEY...I'M HOME! Dat is the best part of our day, being together. Mommy said as long as she has a good cuppa coffee each day and a few crumbs to eat, we will be OK. The good Lord will provide all one needs as one needs it. We believe coming from the old country helps one to store up strength for hard times. We adore your gentle humans and love the furs off of you Asta. We wish we could win millions and share it all with those we love...we have dreams but at least they are big ones!
Know how much we care and are walking beside you on the same road.
All our love from the cozy cottage where we also believe in miracles.
