Oh wow Asta, you have done so much, the apartment is looking fabulous and homely. You have all worked so hard. We cross our paws there will be no hitches tomorrow with the installation of your new kitchen.

Yeah - it let me leave a comment for you today !!!
I am so happy to hear you are settling in well and that the people there are so friendly. You will have so many new friends in no time and once spring/summer comes I bet you will be having a wonderful time.
Are you missing New York a little bit though? We were also so sad about miss Maggie, but glad she is no longer in pain.
It is funny that your Mom doesn't like ceiling lights - my Mom loves them and hates lamps.....her eyes are old though and need lots of light to see by :) :)
My mom wants EVERY SINGLE LIGHT to be BLAZING AWAY...
I know we will all miss Angel Maggie..esp. poor Mitch, butt we KNOW where she is and what she is doing. THAT makes me smile. She surely did leave us with some grrrrreat memories.
Our mom agrees with your mommi about the overhead lights! We're all about lamps, too. Your floor is bootiful and we're glad you're getting settled. Maggie's dad left a beautiful tribute to her today. It made our mom cry...

The candlelight is simply charming and soothing. No matter how unpacked or arranged things are, remember it all comes down to the mood you fill your home with...and yours is saying welcoming sanctuary! Perfect!
What we could see of the apartment in the smilebox, it's starting to look like you -- and NYC!!! Loved the choice of music. And yes, we're all so so sad about one of our first friends, Maggie, crossing over the Bridge -- but as you say, it's not forever!!!
Every morning we check the weather in Boo Da Pest in the morning paper. And it seems to be COOOOOLD.
Love you all!!!
Jake and Just Harry -- and OK, her too...
Must be exciting to get a little more settled! Hope you are having fun!
Another lovely smilebox - we love seein' these - it seems you are gettin' more and more settled....but my mum agrees with yours about being grumpy about the kitchen!! Hope that that can get sorted out soon!!

Wow Asta your apartment already look more cosy and homelike than our house and Gail's lived here since 1999!
She wants to know if the trams are still unbelievably cheap?
I want to know if you've discovered any yummy new Hungarian treats?
Toodle pip!

Great to see that you are posting and I am seeing that you are getting a little settled. Looks like a nice place be be living. The mom here wouldn't worry too much about getting the kitchen ready as she loves to go out to eat and not have to cook.
Will email you today with help for your folks.
Sissy Asta! Whoa... you've done so much since your big move! We enjoyed watching smile box and look forward to the next one! Your new town looks very very nice.

Asta, we know your apartment will be just as gorgeous as the one in NYC! It just takes time! My mom says, "The older I get, the longer it takes to do EVERYTHING!" It's very nice to hear from you! We just can't imagine what it must be like to move to a different country...it's hard enough to just move in the SAME country!
Aire-hugs,
Patches
