Ah Asta, that was a lovely post. All those kisses - they were great photos and we loved the fun you had with your orangutan - but shame you couldn't go on the walk!

The Smilebox presentation was great also - we enjoyed seeing the photos of all those plants and the fireboat on the Hudson!

Hope you have a good weekend and maybe there might be some positive news on Laska.

Take care
Clive

I just love all your bootiful belly spots. I sure wish they'd let you go walk on the High Line...you are a tidy girl and would most certainly clean up after yourself!!!

We saw the opening of the High Line on the CBS Sunday Morning Show a few weeks ago and were so sorry we couldn't be there once it opened.

But no dogs? How egotistical of some humans!!

It is lovely though -- perhaps one day you can sneak Asta in in her sherpa case!! Like going abroad!

Lots of wirey love,

Jake and Just Harry

Great post, Asta - you do so very well alone - just love those pix of your orangutang! So sorry you can't go some places - I can't either. I know we have a lot of doggies these days to think about - we are lucky to be so loved.

It's good you had some fun in your life. All these sad events can get a doggy depressed. And we don't want you to be depressed, Asta.

Oh Asta...those pics of the Highline are sooooo cool!!! Maybe we should get a bunch of dogs together to do a pwotest march on it??? Scruffy could raise his hindleggie in a salute of sorts...

We've been very sad and worried bout all the sad things our bloggie friends have been going through...it looks like your twip to the wun may have cheered you up a tad...and that orange monkey seems to have kicked ur fuzzy derriere...

As for you chastising me re my little Stains kiss...well...I certainly had NO IDEA it was Joey....could that sorta be like manslaughter??? Ya know...not premeditated or somethin'???? And for him to just LEAVE me there in that fouled nest??? Those herons coulda ripped me to shreds...well...naaaaaaaaaaa...I sorta slugged one of them too when he made some comment bout the size of my jaw...it's my beardie, Asta...it just needs a small trim....(Lacie completely forgets about her sin of coveting her blog friend's beau and runs to the mirror to see if her beard has grown any more, thus making her head 6 times the size of her body...)

Ok Ok...I'll go and light a candle or something...maybe I'll wait till tonight when Scruffy becomes his most expulterous...(that means makes frequent expulsions...;it's a scrabble wordie) and light it then...you know..kill 2 issues with one candle...er something...Lacie briefly ponders her karma...seemingly satisfied after 2.976 seconds...)

Hafta go and do some errands sweet girlie...

Love you lotstest!!!

Hi Asta
So nice to see you out with all your friends - we are not sure if you should be kissing them all!
The spinone was rather handsome right enough.
Lovely to see you having fun with your big orange orangutan - it looked almost as big as you. You certainly had a good wrestle.
The smilebox was lovely - imagine having pizza on the roof!!!!
Probably just as well they dont allow dogs - what would happen if someone threw a stick!!!
We know you are still thinking about all your friends and so are we.
We hope things work out for everyone and that Laska is found safe and well.
In the meantime we enjoyed laughing at your post and that was very good.
Our mum felt very sad yesterday and it isnt good to be too sad for too long!!!!
Have a lovely weekend.
love

Hey Asta!

Sorry I missed you at the run -she left me at home to go to a party too, but guess what? Remember that cute bulldog pup named Idgy that was looking for a home? Well, Mommy helped place him with this family and now he's a jolly 60 lbs and named Toby! He looks like a giant scoop of chocolate chip ice cream and he purrs when you scritch him!

Have your parents heard about the Renegade Cabaret? I think Mommy sent you an email. Apparently the lights from the High Line go right into some lady's apartment and she's dried her unmentionables on the fire escape for years. So, now she has different friends who are singers come do a few numbers from the lit up fire escape! Tra lalalala!

Maybe I'll see you at the run tonight if we don't have another boomer.

Your pal,

Petey

Your building sounds great. It must be in a great part of Manhattan. Sorry your friends have to leave though. Maybe some nice people will take over their apartment.

New York is such an exciting place, Kousin Asta. Too bad that you can't enjoy all of it like the humans can. At least you get to play with an orange orangutang. That's something the humans don't do. Hehehe...

Loved the pictures of you (you are such a cutie) and loved the slide show, too.

Nice job!!

Love and Koobuss Kisses,

Hi, Asta -

HA! HA! HA! Mama really liked the pictures of you with your tongue hanging out.

The pictures with your orangutan were pretty funny too - but the tongue pictures are classic.

It FINALLY stopped raining and the sun is out here. Kaci and I think that was probably another reason why Mama was sad this week too - all this rain is making everything waterlogged.

Have a good weekend.

Hi Asta
You look so happy seeing all your friends. My mom is from your city (a LONG time ago cause she's pretty old) so she likes to see all your great photos.

(But try not to be so sweet and kissy all the time. My mom was muttering, Why can't you be nice like that? Don't give her any ideas. I don't want to be replaced by a terrier!)

Watch out for that orangoutang.

Deefor

Of course, yours is the most gorgeous tongue I have ever seen. It is so expressive, and is very photogenic. I have many fond memories of that tongue (I'm actually blushing as I type this).

You are a doll and a half (nope, you're a DOUBLE doll, my sweetpea)! You give that mommi of yours a big goob smooch from me, okay, and take the rest that I'm sending for yourself!

Goober love & smooches,
