As I guessed fwom photogwaphs, and cewtain facts at the wedding aweady, (such as..Mywna could hawdly button hew dwess, and was thwowing up mowe than newves could explain, hmmmmmm) my sissie Mywna and hew husband Gilbewt wewe pwegnant..I mean, ummmm, she was pwegnant, and he was going to be a Daddy. They've been honeymooning all ovew Oowope , but the time finally came fow the baby to be bown.
Mywna was flown to the best Biwfing hospital in the wowld..it's in IOWA whewe Dr Snitchibug and Dr Piewwe pwactice..

I wasn't able to be thewe in time, so I got this blow by blow account fwom Dr Snitchybug's team:

" Dr. Pierre & Dr. Snitchybug did the delivery along with Nurse Snickers II, (Snickers let Snickers II help, cause she was afraid she might have a seizure with all of the excitement). Nurse Sylvester is in there too, but you can only see his paws under where the baby's head comes out in one photo. He was laying beside Myrna during the delivery. As you can see, Gilbert was there too, tee hee."

Congratulations Myrna & Gilbert (and Auntie Asta, Granny Ami, and Grandpappy George)!!!

I'm amazed at the state of the art facility right there in Iowa, and am so happy Myrna looks ready to go for a roll right after giving birth. She is a really resilient wheelie girl!

Can't wait to hear more. What are they naming the new girlie?

Goober love,
Stanley

Wow - that was fast! A baby girlie already - that was a great hospital - Myrna is one tough cookie - nice to see Mom and baby doing well

We think Sally is a good name for a girl - Paddy is a good name for a girl too (apparently)

Lots of licks

Well I think that was a very touching post, and educational too, so why is my human Gail laughing so loud??

Those birds are freaking me out.

Momma is laughing and snorting and saying "that is just so wrong." Whatever. Very exciting documentary on where wheelies come from. That is a big baby.

Hi, Asta -

You and your Mommi have had a busy time. First the wedding, your engagement, your Mommi's friend and now this.....Yikes!

We are glad to read that your Mommi's friend is doing a little better. Mama told me (Hershey)that my Grandma had a brain tumor and yesterday was her (Grandma's)birthday but she is in heaven now.

We miss hearing from you.

Love -

Auntie Asta,

Congrats on becoming an Auntie so quickly. The wheelie baby looks so sweet!! Have they named her yet?

Those birds creep our Mom out too!! You know she is afraid of birds. We hope they are not after the baby!! CCSI might need to be involved.

Oh Asta
What an exciting and emotional post - we held our breath over here in Scotland as we tried to scroll down to read it!
We were so distressed when the baby was in difficulties and so releived when the wonderful medical team were able to assist her.
What a relief!
We send all our congratulations to the happy couple.
We cant wait to see more of their baby - and find out what they are going to call their baby girl.
We are away for a lie down now - we are just exhausted with all the excitement!

Wow! That was rather graphic! Good thing wheelies are only born one at a time. Ouch. Myrna sure was carrying that ginormous baby very well.

Congratulations to the happy couple and their lovely new daughter. I think I might discourage Rosie from looking at the birth photos though, as they might give her nightmares!

Could that be a stork hiding in the curtain? Maybe wheelie babies are brought by Kingfishers?

Your pal,

Petey
