Ok, so Mommi ,Daddi and auntie Lisa(Stanley's Giwl) met up wif Auntie Kawen and Sloan (of the Taylow Catsssss) to go on a Tap Jam cwuise owganized by unkel Tony and the Amewican Tap Dance Foundation (ATDF).
A tap jam means anyone can bwing theiw tap shoes and pawticipate ..

Daddi and Sloan on boawd

Stanley and I wewe supposed to stay home, hahahahahah, fat chance.

We stowed away on the boat.
I mean how can you miss a cwuise seeing Manhattan at sunset in pawfect weathew. No way I say! (Vewy few things awe mowe Womantick)

Mommi and auntie Kawen didn't have a cloo that we wewe thewe too, hehehehehe
the boat took off at 7:00 PM on a pawfect evening( we bwought a bunch of yummies to eat and dwink).

auntie Lisa had no idea whewe we wewe going
Mommi and Daddi wefoosed to tell hew.
She got suspicious when the cab dwopped us off at a piew, but I think she must have thought we wewe going to visit the sailows fow Fleet Week, hehehehe ( the dock is wight next to The Intwepid)

Stanley and I sat on deck and ouw fuw was blowing all ovew

the city suwe looked bootiful

we passed the building whewe I live..pwetty cool

unkel Tony had a laugh wif Jason Samuel Smith , who is a fantastic dancew (he was in Bwing in the noise, Bwing in the Funk..and othew gweat stuff) I've seen him dance...WOW!!!!!!

Unkel Tony welcomed all of us on boawd. By then we wewen't hiding.

auntie Lisa was pwetty stunned , but happy

we continooed down the Hudson wivew towawds the tip of the Island

if you wemembew my post about the concewt that Mommi went to stawwing Dianna Kwall, this is a view of the Wintew Gawden whewe it took place

we headed out towawd the sea
( Did you know I live on an Island???)
gwanted it's not a twopical one, but still , not bad

this is the way Mommi fiwst saw Amewica (except wif fog cause it was Novembew) when she sailed into NY hawbow fow the Fiwst Time as a little giwl about 2041 yeaws ago.
 I't s pwetty magical

meanwhile, on boawd ship, the dancing was in full swing..I took my tuwn
(I had bwought my tap shoes just in case), and appawently evewyone was suwpwised and delighted.
I hope Stanley was pwoud of me.

all of a sudden the gweat lady appeawed, but I guess, Stanley and I wewe mowe intewesting

we all got a little teawy thinking of what she stands fow

aftew that we passed undew all the cool bwidges ( Bwooklyn,Manhattan, and Queensbowo )
at night, they look like diamond necklaces stwung acwoss the watew

sowwy about the bluw, but we wewe moving, and flash is useless
(this is the Bwooklyn Bwidge)

Mommi was sowt of happy
She's almost as big a ham as unkel Tony

by the time we got back, it was late and dawk , and we wewe vewy tiwed.
(by the way, that's the Staten Island faiwy  the middle left of the pictoowe)

Doo to my suwpwising success at dancing , I was given a contwact which I towe up...(I have too many things to do to westwict myself to tap dancing).
Stanley and I didn't get into twouble fow stowing awawy, hehehe..what a gweat night!

pee ess

Pleez go to visit Clive and his little man and vote fow him in

omdog we have been away and now we are catching up finally. I had no idea you could tap dance, I bet you and Sophie had a lot to talk about as talented dancers. Your Mom's glasses are so cool, Mom doesn't think she would look as good in them though. We are so glad you and Stan had a romantic boat ride.

You could be on Dancing with the Stars.

Sweetpea Astaroni!!

I can't believe that only a few days ago we were paw-in-paw walking around your neighborhood! It almost feels like a dream, except for all those photos we have as proof!

That tap cruise was AireMazing! You really know how to show a Dale the town. I wasn't a bit surprised that you are a tap dancing FIEND, but I was mighty proud to say to everyone around me, "That's my girlfriend, Astaroni!"

My girl says there are still tons of photos to show and look at, so we'll keep them coming (even if folks get bored with us talking about our time together). My girl totally misses you and your mommi & daddi. We have to do this again sometime... SOON!

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

Hi Asta
What an amazing post - a tap cruise!
We have never heard of such a thing. The pictures were amazing - both the happy smiles of the humans and the stunning city shots!
Beautiful!
We will certainly be voting for Clive - the little man will just love winning - it is the most awesome blog!

Hi Asta
The photos of New York are sensational. We cant believe how close you are to the Hudson...fantastic. You must have been pretty excited to see your apartment building as you went past.
I reckon Auntie Lisa had a great time. What a lovely way to spend the evening.

Hi, Asta -

You can tap dance too? You are so talented is there anything that you can't do?!?

Mama likes all the pictures. She has been to the Intrepid. One time she walked on the Brooklyn Bridge but only made it to the halfway point. That bridge is enormous to walk across!

I think you were very clever stowing away. But at least you got to dance. Very cool.

Beautiful BEAUTIFUL pictures, Asta! My mom's grandparents came to America from Switzerland about3000 years ago; I can't imagine the thoughts and feelings going through their minds as they saw the Statue of Liberty welcoming them to the land of the free and the home of the brave! I'd love to hear more of your mom's story.

Oh Asta, What gorgeous pics. Mom always tears up when she sees the Lady. She actually has several of them in a much smaller version. She has flown over it a couple of times but only once came in on a big ship when her family was returning from an assignment in Greece. Mom just LOVES her.
And you my dahling, look fantabulous in those tappin shoes!
Great times, great pics!
Hugs Sunny

hi Asta, that tap dancing boat trip looks like sooooo much fun!!! you are quite the tap dancing terrier! we had no idea that you were this talented. Stanley must have been so proud of you - and impressed.

those pictures you showed us are amazing. you live in a wonderful location with an amazing view. we did not know that it was on an island.

the pictures of the bridges in the twilight look amazing. we don't have anything like that here. and the big lady statue is impressive. too bad it's not a poodle - hee hee!!!!

did your mommi and daddi tap dance? our mom has always admired tap dancing, but has never done it. it looks like it would be fun - as long as she didn't step on our toesies!

we think your mommi and daddi look like really fun and wonderful humans. our mom said that if we lived by you, we would all be great friends. **sigh** wouldn't that be great??!!

you sure did show Stanley and his girl a good time. you are a perfet hostess. your mommi has taught you well, little fuzzy butt girl!

woofs.

Good joy, you two, for stowing away AND managing the camera (we're impressed) AND tap dancing your way into fame on the cruise! Your talents are increasing in number with every post we read. Just as your love has grown. It's so incredibly special. And it makes us so happy for you.

Trouble is, now, after this post, we REALLY want to go to NYC with our Girl when she (plans to go) after her HS graduation. Then again, you might be able to teach us about stowaways. Yes?

Happy for you,
Jake and Fergi
