Dawn

Last night I just couldn't sneep..I was so wowwied about Jackson and Snickers...it was 5:30 AM
and I was still up.

I went to the living woom to look out the window and pondew life

Evewything was so bootiful and peaceful..the lights wewe still on, but the sky was getting lightew...even NJ looked nice

I know that you must think this is noisy cause thewe awe caws and twucks fow the meatmawket..but it was silent as anything

So why can't things stay peaceful, and ouw fwiendses healthy and happy , and not in pain?
I paced and thought and thought, and I couldn't figoowe it out...
I guess the best I can do is go and help..so I'm on my way to Snickewrs' wight now..
My BFF Lacie is joining me, and hopefully Agatha will also come, cause thewe is a lot to do...we need to keep the pawents spiwit up doowing all this too, as well as comfowting and cawing fow ouw patientses.

Myrna thanks you fow all the good advice...I think hew favowites wewe spending mowe time wif Gilbewt, and pawhaps having a dwop of bwandy to calm hew.

I, too, am so sorry to hear about Snickers. What a shame. With everyones' prayers and best wishes, not to mention the excellent care that she is getting, I am sure that she will be fine.

Maybe it was too much pawtying. Ya think?

Your pictures are terrific! Now you know why they say that New York is a city that never sleeps! Seems that you don't either.

I'm not sleeping well either.
I'm seeing the dawn because I'm getting up in the middle of the night.
It's really worrying about both Snickers & Jackson.
And, it's the anniversary of Oscar passing on Tuesday too.

Hi, Asta -

We also don't understand why life is unfair. It doesn't make any sense.

We know you will take good care of Snickers and Jackson. We will go over and visit them.

Hi Asta, Our Daddy is in New Jersey on business. He went to New York Tuesday after work. We are not sure where all he went while he was there. He will be home tomorrow.....(doing happy dance)

Hope your friends get better soon. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis

Asta: Me and Teka may try to come help cheer up Snickers and her pawrents. Muzzer is leaving for Azrizona, and Dad tends not to be as "vigilant" about things like collars and stuff, so maybe there is a chance.

You are such a sweetie to help everyone out. Make sure you take care of your Mommi too...I'm sure she is still helping Auntie Karen.

hi Asta, you really do have a pretty view, but you need to get sleep so you don't get sick, little girl fuzzy butt. we know you have great nursing abilities. you have nursed a lot of people (your daddi) and doggies back to health, so we know that Snickers & Jackson will be in good hands with you caring for them.

Man, that sure is a pretty view... My human and I woke up at 4:45, so we saw the sunrise too... But it wasn't as pretty as the one you saw, 'cause it's really cloudy outside...

Is Snickers really sick? I didn't know that, I'll go over right now!

Oh Asta
What a little treasure you are. You are always worrying about others but you must look after yourself as well.
We have become a little behind with our friends blogs so have just read your last 4 postings. Poor Myrna what a pickle she seems to be in.
Take care

I'm sorry you couldn't sleep, Asta, but you have a beautiful view to sit and ponder in the early morning hours. My mom loves to get up early and enjoys the quietness of each new day.

I'm glad you're going to go be with Snickers right now. Just seeing you should put a big smile on her face!

Hey Asta...not sure you are still there, but I'll forward this to ur cell...we couldn't sleep last night either! Not only were we worryin' bout our friends, OUR SMOKE ALARMS WENT OFF FOR TWO HOURS STRAIGHT. Um...that was between 3-5AM. Daddy was NOT in a good mood. Turns out the battery was low in ONE of them, but they're wired into the house and if one goes off all of them scream. Long night.

I know Lacie is in Iowa by now...Babystan ran her over there. He's back already; something bout being afraid of KOI.

Barkin' at ya, Asta...don't worry to much...Jax and Snickers are in good paws...yours!

Glad your Mom liked The Ten Commandments list. After reading them, the owners will love us even more (if possible!).

Life is so complex and it seems sometimes like it overwhelms us, but with friends and family we can get through it all. Even when we lose someone or somedog we love, there is a reason to get up everyday and look out the window. Even if the view is only of New Jersey ;)

Hi, Asta!
I am so sorry that Snickers and Jackson are not feeling well!
I think the worst part of this is the time they have to wait for the results!
