evewyone is doing theiw bit

Hi Evewyone..it's Myrna hewe

as you know, it's been a wough time at ouw house lately,so we all had to help out...

I'll tell you what I've been doing, in a minute, but fiwst I wanted to show you what the mailman bwought us fwom Gussie and Muzzew and family....a Money Twee......I'm not kidding that's what it's called......isn't it pwetty??? Thank you so vewy much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I called Asta ovew to help me find the money, but neithew one of us saw any..
ummmmmm, Gussie ,
I think you got jipped..you should complain..it's bootiful and all, but not a single gweenback on it.
but I just know it will bwing us good luck..
Mommi just came back fwom delivewing the two paintings hewe...they wewe commissioned by a designew fow a lobby of a building...and guess what..they paid hew wight away...so maybe that's how the money twee wowks?

these paintings awe vewy abstwact, mixed media stuff about twees

and now fow what I've been doing...well, not much fun stuff..I've been wowking...
since Daddi was being cawed fow by Asta and hew nuwsie pals, I came to help Mommi get hew paintings done.

we did one of a boston cutie

I had to inspect the wowk vewy cawefully..it's an impowtant job

the next thwee awe collage/paintings all inspiwed by the twip to Wome

I help by teawing up papews to use in the collage

my favowites awe the gold ones, and of couwse Asta picked out the owange

now we only have to do 27 mowe paintings by Septembew..and not little ones like these last fouw..it's going to be a long hot summew

but I must confess I pwefew the paintings that have doggies in them

I hope to have mowe exciting things to tell you next time..it's just not been big on play awound hewe lately..but things awe definitely on the mend..Daddi is so much bettew, that we sent the nuwsies home,so now I just hope evewyone stays healthy so we can begin a fun summew.

Myrna,
Let us know if that money tree grows anything that can be spent on treats.
The paintings are lovely. I hope Mommi doesn't wear herself out painting this summer.
So good that Daddi is getting better. Grammie says, "Moco, if we lived closer we could take Daddi some homemade chili. That stuff will burn out what ever sickness that has invaded his body."
That Boston looks like Petra Pie from Normal, IL.

Wow Myrna
We love all the painting your mum has done especially the one with the tree..yepper we like that one.
Your mum is so talented.
Guess what, a very close friend of our here in the mountains is an artist and she painted a picture of Bryan walking us drinking coffee and wearing his long shorts. Everyone in Leura knows Bryan and us so it's a very appropriate painting. We'll post about it when we get it.

Wow... I love all the paintings. Can I have one for my house?? Hehe. Anyway, that's a great concept to tear bits and pieces of colored papers and gum them as part of the art. Beautiful!

I have seen some young artists over here using neat stuff such as twigs, wires and crushed egg shells for their painting. Maybe you would love to try out this method with your Mommy :)

Hi, Myrna -

We are glad you were helping your Mommi out with the paintings. You do a great job! Especially the tearing the paper part - Kaci and I (Hershey) love tearing paper.

Your Mommi is so talented - and it sounds like she will be really busy the next few months.

What a pretty Money Tree! You and Asta look adorable admiring it.

Sweet Myrna Girl!

You are a LOVE to help your mommi out so much with the paintings. Did she give you some of the commission?

I have to ask, who is that little Boston your mommi painted? Was it a commission or just for fun? Has she ever painted YOU?

Goober love,
Stanley

Oh Myrna,
Your Mom is so very talented!

The painting reminds me of my Ruby - so of course it's my favorite!!!

Myrna, you are doing such a good job of helping your mommi with the paintings. They are bootiful! Our mom can only paint walls and stuff like that...no artistic paintings. She can't even draw a stick figure! We are very glad your daddi is getting better!

So glad Daddi is feeling better!

I much prefer art with doggies as well, but I guess the peoples have different tastes. Sounds like the money tree is working.

Do you guys live like in outer space or something? The view out your window sure looked high up.

You and your mommi are such a terrierific team! It must be challenging dealing with creating a finished product from a client's vision - I bet you are very good at helping with the communication of ideas!

I hope that you take time to have some fun during the summertime!

My mom liked the first abstract tree painting - it reminded her of birch trees oh and the painting with the "Duomo" (dome?) I personally liked the cutie Boston!

I am glad that daddi is feeling better. = )

All those paintings are beautiful! Mom is sad that she hasn't been able to do much of her own painting since. While we're selling hte house she doesn't want to get everything out and then have to put everything away all the time. She can't wiat until we get our new house where she can get stuff out and leave it out again.

Those are wonderful paintings....Very Very professional and original...Does your mum have her own gallery? She should....she is very talented.
I am so glad everyone is on the mend there. The tree is very unique and will probably bring lots of health and luck....
Summer is always busy for the humans, cuz they get more sunlight, which means...more chores.

Dear Myrna, Asta and Mommi,

I have been busy shredding paper all morning while Mommy was at the gym so I have a nice fresh supply for you! It's all white paper, the better for imprinting with pawprints, right?

Mommy sent the link to your Mommi's paintings to all her friends that were at her party and they all think her paintings are amazing. I'm so lucky I got to be her muse!

Maybe I'll see you at the run later if Mommy ever settles down and does some WORK!

Your pal,

Petey

Hi again,
Thanks for visiting me today; I know how busy you are. Psst! Here's a secret for you Myrna and for you Asta - my mom is planning on getting a painting done of my dad2b's dog (now over the bridge) and us for my dad2b's 40th b-day in November 2009. Don't worry she will give PLENTY of lead time because she knows that Myrna & Mommi are busy gals. After she read Petey's blog today she kinda liked the idea of a collage...so much choice! Please do not comment back regarding this secret because dad2b reads my comments and we want it to be a surprise!
