We're beginning to think we should all go for a real field trip and visit Bertie - as we are sweltering here in the mountains of Virginia too!! And eating a lot of wallymelon - that's the upside of it all.

Oh, no! This heat is worldwide? That must be why Jan has been eating a lot of watermelon at the computer. It's a sauna in here. So do your best to stay cool. Purrs and pawhugs.

Oh,Asta....I leave for a few (well, maybe more) days to visit you in the Pest and all um heck breaks loose at home. We had a storm here early am on July 4th...(yes,fireworks all evening and then a wicked thunderstorm: the Lacie was not pleased. So now Mumsie had the E LEK TRISH AN out today and found out we got um fried. Lotsa stuff...and we don't have any air conditioning either...sheesch. At least it's better than our neighbor's house...their chimney got blown up by the storm...bricks flew everywhere. Mumsie slept through the whole thing 'cept when I demanded to be rocked.

Who's bloggie has the Paw Olympics? Let us know....or is it like virtual? Is there a Schlag Eating sport?

It is 68 degrees F tonight in Albuquerque...YES 68!!! We are all on the deck worshipping the wind and cooler temps that the storm this afternoon blew in!

We will focus on sending you some of this delightful weather (so unusual for the desert in July).Keep the windows open and expect this lighter than air coolness to arrive in the next 48 hours! Take a deep sniff, it comes perfumed with desert sage after the rain! Stay cool, dear friends!

Oh dear Asta, we were rather hoping that is was cooling down a bit for you and your pawrents.

Would you be so kind as to package a little warmth and send it here by first class mail. Apparently we are having our furs trimmed at the weekend and with all this rain and cool temperatures we may start to shiver.

Pawsonally we think somebody moved the world around while we were sleeping one night. Wished they would move it back again so we can have summertime.
