DAY OF PEACE

My fwiends  Quinn, Nuka, Puff and theiw hoomans  at whitedogblog have a post about a vewy impawtant event!

Hewe's what they say and I want to join them in theiw effowts . I think it would be in keeping wif evewything Mommi and Daddi have taught me.

"Tomorrow, Friday, March 4 has been designated a Day of Peace. Started on Facebook with hopes of spreading around the globe, it is the brainchild of Stephen D. Shoemaker, a 17 year-old, and now has over 1 million people committed to a day of peace. For just one day he asks “ that we hold our tongues. A day where we ignore others' shortcomings and made a valiant effort to be kind and understanding. ...A day where we all get along.” The White Dog Army wishes that a special day was not needed but as Quinn points out, “one day is a start!”
(go to theiw bloggie to heaw the west)

and then follow these simple wooles:

Rule #1. Say not a single unkind thing about anyone or anything. If at all possible, try not to even think a nasty thought. If we do, reflect on why it was that we thought to say it in the first place.

Rule #2. Show everyone we cross paths with some genuine human compassion. Be it with a smile or kind words, just spread some love.

Rule #3. Make not one person the exception to the rule. Not everyone deserves to have roses thrown at their feet and have a holiday in their honor, but nobody deserves to feel alone. Reach out. Talk to someone new. Care about them, and we will be cared for in return.

Simple WIGHT????? and then twy to do it evewy day and make the wowld a nicew place one day . One fuwwkid and hooman at a time. It's in keeping wif evewything this doggie coommoonity stands fow and what we all twy to do anyway.

Thank you dear Asta for telling us about this. We're definitely in. On my morning walk in the park this morning I was making special efforts to spreads some love and ensure that no human or dog was ignored. And when they did not seem to appreciate my reaching out, I tried to think of them with kindness and compassion. Even the barky little spaniel.
Peace and Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS We love the tie dyed t shirt. So apt.

What a Most Wonderful day! Now, between you and me, I don't think I'm gonna haves any problem doing this at all. But my mom - well, she's a different story. Especially when it comes to some of the peoples at her work. But she's gonna try really, really, REALLY hard to be peaceful today.

Thank you, my friend, for spreading the world about this Day of Peace...and most importantly for being such an ardent practicioner of these principals everyday of your life! One step, one day, one person and pup at a time...we CAN change the world (but your Daddi has known that his whole life, hasn't he?)!
Always
