It was a bootiful wawm, cleaw day hewe in Man hattan

we didn't even have the aiw conditionew on..just the windows open bwought nice aiw in

we dwagged a small table ovew to the window so that when ouw fwiends came ovew, we could eat and watch the fiwewowks in comfowt

When awe they coming Mommi?????

we watched as the cwowds gathewed on the piew outside of ouw window, and the boats  along wif the bawges that would shoot off the fiwewowks ..thewe's so many hoomans thewe, they look like antses

ouw fwiends bwought the food and dwinkies...a salad vewsion of Buffalo chicken yummmmm

umm, let me just twy that to make suwe it's edibull

the sky tuwned all sowts of bootiful colows as we kept looking out

mowe and mowe ships gathewed as it got dawkew

then it finally stawted

and the lights on the Empiwe State Building got vewy patwiotic

Mommi went sowt of mad and taped mowe of the  fiwewoks than anyone should, hehehehe
Make suwe to tell youw pawents to tuwn off the sound if you'we in the woom and hate fiwewoks

in between watching, we kept eating

hewe's some mowe fiwewoks..I am vewy vewy lucky, (some might say an ab a wation)
I enjoy watching and don't get upset by the sounds at all

aftew all the food and bwownies wif whipped cweam, we had some patwiotic colowed boobewwies and Wally Melon

and mowe fiwewoks

and mowe shawed food fow me

we wewe oohing and ahhhhing , it was all sooo  bootiful
in past yeaws, we could see the fiwewoks fwom ouw window, but it's nevew been this pawfectly close

hewe I am watching along wif ouw good fwiends auntie KawenKawen and unkel James

isn't it fantastic????

in case you don't have the patience to watch mommi's thousands of videos, hewe awe some still pictoowes

I love the weflections of the lights on the watew

the whole sky was lit up

thewe was such a gweat celebwatowy atmosphewe

have you evew seen pink and puwple watew???? I bet lots of my fwiends would like that...as you know, I would pwefew Owange

it's like staws in the sky

This is the last fiwewowk video..it's my favowite..I love all the boats tooting theiw howns and the hoomans cheewing as the last of the bootiful fiwewoks light up the sky

then it got all quiet as the cwowds went home, and the boats went to theiw docks and I said goodnight to evewyone and went to bed fow a lovely nights sneep

I hope all of you have wested up and those of you who wewe scawed by all the noise awe feeling bettew
I love you and don't evew want to be wifout you my deewest fwiends
I am vewy behind and it will take me ages to go awound and wead all youw bloggies, so pleez be patient wif me

Hoo Boy...I just came back in the room...I had to go and plug my ears and hide in the closet...Mumsie seems to be all teary eyed and PASTRY OTIC about those videos...frankly, I'd just rather eat the pastries but well a girl must watch her figure.

What time should I arrive to finish the Schlag?

Save me the big spoon....and can you put the spoon in the freezer for me? I have a few eye bags, plus it makes the Schlag taste better...tell your mom to just grow a little fur under her eyes...spoon works pawfectly then...

And off to the bath...

Asta, how lucky you are to be able to watch the show from your very own living room! I'd love having everybody watch from inside our house. It all seems so Metropolitan! I heard that this year the fireworks in New York were extra special because it was the anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. We had a big show here, too. The one in the city that Mom and Dad went to Monday night was the biggest one in our state, but I was at home sleeping!

Oh Asta! Those were pawsatively beautiful videos! We loved hearing New York cheer at the end. Thank you so so much!!

That's one time that I was happy to NOT be there Asta. I would have had a heart attack with all those boomies outside the window. Mum says she is impressed at your "box office" view, as thinks you could have charged people to watch it from your apartment ;-)

Glad it's over. Wouldn't it be good if they could make quiet fireworks!!!

Wow...I feel like a real coward. Except we was outside and the fireworks was real close. And there was three sets we could see. So - maybe next year we will stay in Virginia, I think.

The food looks wonderful. I think I caught the 'splosive butt thing from Mango Man.

More tomorrow from Mayemphis

You had a marvelous view to watch all of the bursts and streamers of color shouting out the joy of our country's independence day. Looking out over your gorgeous city with the reflective lights on the river, must have stirred the soul to realize what a great Land this is. We are SO lucky and fortunate.

I am going to be late for my morning walk 'cos Gail wanted to watch all your magnificent fireworks. Still, I don't mind at all, as I'm so happy to hear from you and read your wonderful post. As always, the food bits are the best. Oh and the photos with you in them, of course.

Patrick and I love the 4th of July so much. BabyRocketDog is very timid around loud noises though, and we were staying at a hotel in Kalispell, Montana, so didn't get to see any live fireworks because we didn't want to leave the pooches alone there. SOoooo, thank your dear mommy for us, that we got to enjoy her wonderful videos!! These were some of the best fireworks I have ever seen. I loved the way they all were choreographed and in sync. Just beautiful. Thank you again and again. Love & a sratch behind the ears, Cassie

Second of all, those were some awfully pretty and spectacular fireworks where you live. Can you believes my mom and dad went to bed and didn't watch a single firework? But then, we don't haves the view that you do AND Brudder Ranger doesn't like them. Uh...but don't tell him I told you that, okay?

I'm Most Glad you had such a luvly 4th of July!

Hi, Asta -

We enjoyed looking at all of the fireworks you (your Mom or Dad) posted.

They are beautiful, but I (Hershey) am afraid of them because of the noise. Kaci is much more tolerant of them.

Hope you and your family had a great 4th of July!

Love -

Hershey and Kaci
