I kept watching, imagining all that lovely papew and how well I could shwed it

It weally is a pwetty amazing sight..we haven't had one fow a long time, and I love a celebwation

As the floats came closew, I did a double take...I couldn't believe my eyes..Tannew and his twinnew Scootew sitting on a float..just follow the awwow and you'll see them

Those two have been melding theiw bwains in an effowt to help out the Yankees..Obviously it wowked and they wewe flown in and honowed fow theiw contwibootion to this win

sheeesh..hewe they awe in City Hall
I think they'we going to have bweakfast wif the mayow and all the Yanks
Yummmmmmmmm, lucky guys

I suwe hope they don't get swelled heads fwom this Wowld Sewies Win
(btw, Mommi is fwom Oowope and she still doesn't undewstand how it can be called a wowld sewies when the only tems awe fwom the USA...we awe the wowld????)

I pawsonally don't cawe about details like that..I just am happy to celebwate wif my fwiends..I think I'll wun down to city Hall and twy to find Tannew and Scootew and go pawty wif them
I know Joey will be thewe, and Kousin Koobus, and Sophie?

Wow! What a great reason to celebrate in NYC! We hope you find all your friends. Their smiles are worth a million words! What history you've captured snatching pictures of them in the parade! And hey, if you can, grab a big handful of ticker tape for me! Paper is my very most favorite toy! I'd be in heaven if I was there!

Have fun! Tell everyone congratulations for us,
Love you Asta Sissie

Oh my dogness! Joey puffed up so big and tall with pride as he was handed that Key! We had no clue he towered over people like that (even if the mayor IS short!) That makes us even more proud to know him. Can we get an autographed copy of that picture? Maybe it will entered into the National Baseball Hall of Fame!

Asta this is a great post! And I am with your mom because I always wondered why it was the World Series when it isn't including the whole world - and I am from the US! There is one team from Canada but that still isn't the world!

What awesome coverage of all the action at the parade!!! Lucky Tanner and Scooter!!! And look at Joey, he looks so proud. Thanks for the update, Asta, hope you can find them all and have lots of fun together.

We were just talking at lunch how funny it is when the other teams in the WORLD Series are from North America! (Don't forget that the Toronto Bluejays can play in the World Series, too!)

Joey sure got a lot bigger once he got that chip inserted.

Um...Joey's paws are HOOOOOOOGE!!!

Wonder how he found gloves to fit him???

How come you get to have orange trees on ur blog and I can't have purple trees??? Not fair...(Lacie whines...)

I may go and take a nappie...Mumsie looks tired...

Kisses...Ur BFF!!!

Great day for the Yanks and what a huge parade. I am surprise that you were not out there with the action but I guess you cannot be on the run all of the time. I am so impressed that you know two such famous doggies. Wow! Can you get their autograph and then sell it on ebay or something?

Yeah YANKEES!

Mommy's sooo happy! She grew up in N.Y.C. and when she was about seven, there were two young ladies who were sisters that lived in the apartment next door.

They were both dating the YANKEES. Well, not the whole team!

One night the girls had them over for dinner and invited our mommy. They made her sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" about eight times!

Anyway, it's no big deal, but it's still one of mommy's favorite memories. She's weird that way!

Luv,
Riley and Star.

What a great celebration! That's a LOT of paper. Freckles would have loved shredding it too!

Two Schnauzers from New England said...

Hi, Asta -

That was a lot of paper to shred. Kaci and I (Hershey) would have fun with that.

Although Mama is not a Yankee fan she is glad that the trophy is back in New York. My great Grandpa used to work in Yankee Stadium many years ago.

Your Mommi does have a point why is it called the World Series when it is played in America?

Love -

You have no idea the timing it took to get there and back with staying at Gram and Gramps and Mom and Dad not being around. Tanner really did come through for me, I was nice to him the entire time Mom and Dad were gone. At least, that is what I am telling them :)

Thanks for getting the pics so they could see when they got back. We will be blogging soon!
