An awawd cewemony was held ,giving Mango sevewal silvew buckets full of tweats and wibbons to acknowledge his massive contwibootion to the DWB wowld , mastewminding, and owganizing and having the most spectacoolaw MangoMinstew..the pwemiew Doggie show in the oonivewse!

Mango was a little big fow the weviewing stand, and fwankly too exhausted fwom the last week to show much enthoosiasm, but I think in his heawt of heawts he is happy to weceive this accolade. All the judges gathewed in theiw official wobes fow this gwoup shot .

Valentine's Weekend

As you know I was in Sicily fow Valentine's day wif my sweetheawt Stanley(who just won the bestest Tewwiew in MangoMinstew!!!!!!!!,and is in the wunning fow Best in show!!! ), and some of my best fuwwfwiends.
I twanspowted back in time to spend some of the day wif my family.

Thewe was hooge dwama, Mywna was sobbing..she hadn't weceived a Valentine as of last night fwom hew financee Gilbewt..she was inconsolable

I wanted to talk to Mommi about it, but I had to wait till she got off the phone, finished hew cligawette and pawtini(I know,I know..don't wite to tell me how bad she is..it's common knowledge)

finally we had ouw talk and play and I felt much bettew..we decided to cheew up Mywna by cooking a nice Valentine's dinnew

A faboolous steak, a simple salad..fwesh baguette and a bottle of wine!!!Yummmmmmmmm!

hews didn't look as pawfect as the pictoowe when she sewved it, but it was sooo good Daddi said he didn't cawe if it bwoke , he would eat it wif a spoon if he had to...(I only got the cweam..no chocolate)
then came a gweat Valentine's pwesent fow me fwom my dawling Twin Nicky and sissie Jenny!

Getting sick of the icy winds(no snow) and genewal gloom of febuwawy in NY...I was ovewjoyed to get an invitation fwom my Sweet Cat fwiendses to go to Taowmina Sicily

Natoowally I asked my Stanley heawtthwob to accompany me (sigh!!!!!)..he said yes

We wewe bwought by Opus' magic flying Van..he had to make sevewal delivewies so we could all be thewe My bbff Stella Bean Latifah(Stanley's dawling sissie) got a wide wif us so she could spend Valentine's Day wif hew sweetheawt Taffy in Gweat Bwitain(we made a detoow)

and that evew-anxious-topawtyBFF-of-mine, Lacie giwl packed hew biggest suitcase and came along too. We went to the hotel and fweshened up to get weady fow the west of the day

My sissies Momo and Sassy and I had a little quiet giwl talk in ouw woom . We haven't seen each othew fow a while and it was gweat to catch up and welax .

We had lots of cookies and tea( I have a feeling this is going to be a vewy high calowy weekend..Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh!)

Lacie made hewself vewy comfowtable, Opus was vewy attentive to hew, despite the fact that he bwought a mystewy guest..(don't ask me, cause I have no idea who it is) the twins Scylla and Chawybdis aways stuck togethew, as did that happy couple, Ruis and Kawl.....

my sissie Sassy had one on each awm, sissie Momo was wif hew Lovemancat Socks(don't you love his lavendew shoes??)
and of couwse I changed again so that I would be mowe comfowtable fow all the dancing I plnned to do wif my Dawling goobew Boy

The fiwe was blazing..thewe was a fwagwance of flowews in the aiw..sweets and dwinkies and womance evewywhewe

I had to come back the next day..despite my less than enthoosiastic welcome the day befowe, cause I pwomised Mango, I would see his bwuvvew Floyd pawticipate

I found him wight away, but he was in no mood to talk
I think a lot of these kids awe exhausted

honestly, this looked like the haiw was a hooman's and they put a doggie head on top as decowation...vewy confoosing
This bootiful Gentle giant, is a LEONBEWGEW...they awen't wecognized at Westminstew, but this kid weminded me of my cousin's doggie Steffi( who is now in heaven)..this lovely doggie is a sewvice doggie...YEAH!!!!!fow him
meantime, Floyd woke up and wanted to know how long he had to wait ..have you evew heawd how loud a welentlessly hooge can be????

I don't want to offend any of you who entew dog shows(especially Patience and the whippets..I know she adowes hew dogs and tweats them bettew than anyone can imagine) I'm suwe thewe awe many mowe hoomans like Patience in the doggie show ciwcuit..I'm just sowwy, they didn't give me a chance to meet them.

Mommi let me play wif Petey that day. and said"now this is what I love seeing..Doggies being doggies..playing and having a ball!!!" (Mommi is sooo eloquent, hehehe)
