The short days can be so discouraging. Momma has even started planning her weekend nap time so that we are finished in time for an "evening" walkie before the sun goes down. The soup looks lovely. Just the ticket on a cold night.

Our Lady is finding this time of year hard, but we like all the good sniffs the fall brings. Winter will be here soon and the days will start to get longer. Enjoy your soup, it looked great! Lee and Phod

What wonderful surprise we had this morning when we found your new post! It gets dark earlier and stays dark longer here too...Even Teka has been staying in bed until 6:15. The soop looks wonderful....yum! Did you have cornbread with it at least one time? I love it when there is beeeeen soup with ham, and I get the end of the bowl with some crumbled corn bead.

hehehehe

I could talk about foods for hours. It motivates me ya know?

Hello Miss Asta!! Your city is soooo bootiful! We have to plan our days backwards this time of year to make sure we're done with our hike before it gets dark at 4:45. It seems that just yesterday we were hiking until 8:00!! Butt we do like soups, too and of course, snuggling! Loves to mimmi and daddy!

Oh we don't like the cold dark weather here in Michigan either. We just had our power out for 17 hours because of high wind.

We know how lucky we are though, lots of bad things going on out there!

Oh Asta, Gail and I are so pleased to hear from you, and glad that you are all keeping warm and snug and well nourished with yummy soup. Oh yes, and the Friday trips to the British pub sound a good idea too. I am sorry I am so late commenting on this post - Gail and I have been down in England, where HGD is poorly and in hospital. I have been taking my job of bringing smiles to sad looking face very conscientiously.

Dear Asta, of course you can be the European Division Detective, we would be very much honored to have you as part of my staff. How about I email you the application information later today (still the gekroon addy), so I can get a post out about you. And believe me when I say you weren't annoying to us Sweetie!

Asta...Wilbur the pig, up on Rankin's Farm is most distraught that Auntie Mommi tried to steal his hock. Thankfully, I heard about it from Bessie and managed to substitute a rubber hock that your mom stole and cooked all day in soup. Was curious how the flavor was?

I have all bodily parts available in rubber for cooking. Just let me know what you'd like to order.

Mumsie wasn't too happy with the taste of the rubber turkey on Thanksgiving.

Sheesch...it was of excellent quality too...
