There is nothing better, then hot soup and some fresh crunchy bread in winter. You all stay safe and warm and keep visiting those wonderful markets.

Well Asta, the soup looks totally yummy, and Gail and I enjoyed the 12 dogs of Christmas, despite the lamentable lack of wire-haired fox terriers. We absolutely love the beautiful card with you as an angel (odd that no-one has ever depicted me in this way....)
We are so pleased that you got to run around with your human 'cousin' from New York, although I have to tell you that the smileybox made Gail a bit dizzy. Maybe that is why you too needed a rest.

Hi our dear furiend Asta!
Our mama is buying the entire set of "The Thin Man" on dvd and realized that you must be named after the wired-hair fox terrier on the movie...is that true? Yousa much more gorgeous and talented of course, but nice choice, if so.
Wesa hope you have a Merry Christmas!

We helped momma make chicken paprikash with buckwheat dumplings for tomorrow's luncheon. The house smelled like wonderful paparika and simmering chicken ...oh, and the lamb shanks braising away in the oven for my birthday dinner tonight! We love the holidays, especially being all cozy and warm and napping in a house that smells like heaven!

No eskies on the 12 days graphic, either...boo!

Hi, Asta -

Mama has been a little behind with blogging. We love the Twelve Days of Christmas picture. We almost didn't see the schnauzers.

We also liked looking at the smilebox and the pictures of you.

We hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas and we wish you all a Happy New Year!

Love -

Hershey, Kaci and Mama

P.S. Mama also remembers the Nutcracker. Her Mama and Papa used to play the music every year at Christmas time.
