Daddi's Biwfday Dinnew

Sowwy about the quality of these pictoowes, Mommi only had the phone wif hew to take them but I wanted to show you the most wondewfullest time Daddi had going out to dinnew wif me and Mommi (a gift fwom an An-Any-Mous benefactow)

Daddi's so lucky,  cause his Biwfday is always in the nicest time of yeaw..cleaw skies, sunshine, wawm enuff to sit outside but full of the most wondewful fwesh aiw and the smell of fiweplaces .
We went to a soopew good Mexican Westauwant in ouw neighbowhood and waited fow a few minutes fow an empty table
fiwst things fiwst..we asked them to come and make us some Wocka Moal Ay (they make it in fwont of you at the table,,yummmmmmmmmmm) wif fwesh chipses to scoop it up
Since it was Daddi's Biwfday, I decided to let him have me as his pawsonal taste testew
it seemed to make him happy
Mommi had some chill-ees-Wa-yay-no  (I know it sounds stwange, but it was beyond delicious..full of melted cheeses,hehehehe......
and she wondews why she weighs a ton,
and Daddi had some lamb shankses in a tewwific sauce and they bof had some beans that wewe fwied ovew and ovew
and wawm blue and white soft  tow-tea-yahs to mop up the sauce and some colowed watew wif salt awound the glass
(I've nevew seen them so happy dwinking watew)
of couwse you have to have a sweet if it's youw Biwfday and Mommi and I awe much too polite to let Daddi eat by himself
I didn't have the chocolate stuff, but the west was yummo
(Laciekins do you wecognise the schlag?)

I was totally exhausted fwom all that eating and wif the big walk in the pawk and the test the day befowe(you know,  the one I flunked)
I lay down fow a snooze while Mommi and Daddi talked and talked and fwiends walking by stopped and talked( have you noticed how much talking hoomans do?)..once thewe was no mowe food, I wasn't that intewested.

Thank you all fow youw good wishes fow Daddi's Biwfday..I think he had a gweat time
smoochie kisses

Your Daddi was so fortunate to have his own personal taste-tester. And we love seeing that you can go out to dinner with your pawrents. Our Mom would have to pretend she needed an assistance dog to get one of us into a restaurant where we live - BOL!! There are very few places where one can dine outside with a dog.

I bet the best birthday present was you! I would love to find a place where I could eat with my people at a restaurant. My mom person say New York is very cultural and that means you get to do cool stuff a lot.

That was so nice that you and Daddi and Mommi had such a nice dinner to celebrate your Daddi's birthday. The food looked delish, especially the desserts. And isn't it so wonderful that you were able to share some things too.

Have a great weekend.

MMmmnnnnnn - oh hows yumzers that birfday dinner looked - lucky you, Asta, to be able to taste those Mexican foodables! Happy birfday to your Dad!!! We are trying to catch up - so sorries about that CGC horrid test thingy. Mom made me try that after only three months of my moving in - I think I was so scared still that I barely passed that dumb test. I hope you don't have to take it again, Asta - it's stupid hee hee! We are also sorries to have missed so many posts - Mommy and Dad took us on vacay - camping - and we just got back. We love connecting with you and that pawesome city you live in.

Asta. We can picture just how perfect that Birthday Dinner was with Daddi. And we KNOW that you being there to share it with him made it even more special. We can tell by the gentle smile on his face. (We hope you gave him LOTS of AstaSmoochieKisses. You know. The ones that make Daddi smile. The same ones that flunked you on the SillyTest.

We love you. And we love Daddi. Tell him one more time. Happy Birthday (we hope you are still celebrating!)

What a splendid birthday your Daddi had. He must be so happy to have two female companions who don't let him eat dessert alone..
Toodle pip!

PS Gail is still laughing over Wocka-Moal-ay. I have no idea why.
PPS We both think you need to move on from the flunked test. Just a stupid test. Not worth a minute more of your thoughts

Sweetpea. It's a close call. But I can bark it. YOU DO win over Daddi's dogalicious dinner. Hope you got a bowl of the special fire water too. Gotta go. Mom has to shovel my tongue back in my old north and south.

Wiry love and millions of square smackeroos. Eric xx

Wocka-Moal-ay? Hmm sounds like somethin' you'd need to see a dermatologist for...

That Schlag looked HEAVENLY!! Oh, it so wasn't the kind that squirts outta the can...nopers...that's the kind outta the cow that's been shaken...the cream, I mean...not the cow; that would be A BOO SIVE.

Um...sorry about that window, BUT IT WAS SO NOT MY FAULT. I screeched to Stan to lean HARD on the rudder, but he and Scruffy were so busy lookin' at girl dogs in the lit windows that he didn't even hear me...that was a hooge KLA FLOO TAY I did on the piano...quite a crash of chords...I think you might wanna get the tuner...that Bflat sounded sharp...

Thanks for passin' those chips under the table, dear girl...they were marvelous...

Slurp!

Schlag mit um Erdberren....

Gee, Asta, your Daddi's birthday is the day after mine. That makes me a day older than him, I guess. I don't know what that is in dog years.

Happy Birthday again to your Daddi! I'm glad everyone had such a nice time.

Hey Asta-aren't you fabulous to help out your Dad like that on his birthday! I'll have to keep that taste tester thing in mind:-)

A Happy Belated Birthday to your wonderful Dad!

P.S. Parental Unit says to tell your Mom that she's given up on the weight thing-good food is just too enjoyable! But your snide remark was hilarious anyway:-)

What a fab Birthday Feast! It is wonderful to know that your family likes food from the Southwest, where we live. If you should ever get our way in New Mexico we would make a traditional meal and top it off with flan AND sopapillas to dip in honey (those are Quinn's favorite) to celebrate your visit.
