Oh Asta, some boys have no manners! He was probably a teenager. Can't blame him though, you ARE beautiful!

Sometimes guys can be pretty thick. We are hoping that you do not throw up on Stan. We are looking forward to seeing the two of you strolling in NY.

Oh Asta
Some boys can be very difficult - for some reason they always want to get to know Martha better. She get quite annoyed and Bailey has to become assertive on her behalf! You did well to handle that difficult situation by yourself and in such a tactful manner. We thought that the 'Lacie' face was most impressive. Girl Power!
We are excited for you that Stan will be soon be with you. We expect you have already planned where you are going to go together. Perhaps a nice stroll in the park - a coffee at a nice cafe - oh we can hardly wait. It is so romantic!
We will be waiting in anticipation.

Oh dear Asta how rude of the young whippersnapper!

You are a young lady and he must respect you and accept that a lady's decision is final.

Hope you don't flutter too much over the next few days. We cannot wait to see photos of you both.

It is just so romantic.

Asta,
*I* never would have treated you like that! NEVER! It upsets me that you had to deal with that kind of persistent sniffing. I was born knowing better, and it has been cultured into me during the past year. Mostly out of the respect that I'm taught, but also because Fergi flashes that face at me sometimes. A gentler version of it was the last one on her last blog. Did you see it?

Hrmph. Unruly boys.

On a happier note: we are so glad that you and Stan will be spending some time together. Fergi is especially happy (and a little bit jealous. She's waiting for her time with Farfel.

Have fun beautifying yourself. I know that's what girls (and some guys... yeah, me!) like to do.

And BTW, Wiry Boy was bootiful, but his tail...um...a tiny bit too short...

Oh...did ya ask him if he dated? Text me his number, I'll put him in my book!

I'm thinkin' I need to fly up to New York this weekend and go shoppin' with ya...I need some new spring outfits...everything I have from last year is just SO YESTERDAY.

We could go and have one of those famous Hudson River Mud Facials...I know, you've had a million of them, but I would like to try one....

And we could get our nails done and everything....

Love ya lots...Laciegirlie

Hi, Asta -

You showed class telling that boy dog you are spoken for. We like that face.

But you did say he is good looking - he just needs to learn that "NO" does not mean "YES."

Hershey and Kaci

P.S. I didn't get to see Kaci on Sunday. Grammy left her at her house. There is a poodle named Abby (she lives with Papa's brother) who is about 14 years old. Kaci is too hyper for her but she and I got along.

Asta,

We keep thinkin aboutcha being able to spend time with Stan soon. We're hoping you get lots of pictures.

My Farfel's MOMMY is leaving for NYC in the morning, and leavin Farfel behind while she's there. There's been some chatter about them moving to The Big Apple. I told him he'd love it. My Aunt Judith lived there with her big Great Dane and she (Catherine) knew where ALL the bagel shops were.

Anyhow, we mostly wanted to thank you for thinkin so much about Fergi. If she'd quit jumping up on (and down off of) the big bed, Mom'd be happier. She snuck another leap tonight.

We should hear from the vet-man tomorrow. We'll keep you posted and distract ourselves until then with thoughts of you and Stanley.

Love,
Jake and Miss Fergi

Asta Sweetie, You sure did let that fellow have what for!! That face Lacie taught you is funny. Hootie actually does the same face, but then it's followed by the ninja routine where he goes nuts. Not near as cute as you!

That guy was rude to you Asta. I apologize for all the jerky boy dogs out there. Please accept.(Your Lacie face is cute!)

Stanley said...

Ahhh! Sweetpea Astaroni!

You do a great LacieFace! It would definitely get my attention, no doubt about it! (Then again, my girl has taught me to try to be considerate of all pups I meet, even if I AM a little socially-challenged.)

You know, though, I can't blame that wirey boy for noticing you and for being persistent. You DO inspire a guy with your beauty (and that irresistible fuzzbutt)!

If he keeps bothering you, just sing that song to him, "My boyfriend's back!" I'll take care of things when I get there (but it sounds to me like you have already taken care of business)!

CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU SNOUT-TO-SNOUT!

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

I just want to put in a word in defence of the wee chappie you met in the street there. Remember that some of us males are a bit, well, shall we say 'underdeveloped' in the area of emotional intelligence. We just don't pick up on signals that are apparently obvious to you ladies. I mean, an optimist could interpret that snarl as a sort of twisted smile? And you are every gorgeous you know...
Cheers! H.

Hope you have a great weekend!
