The Aftewmath

I told Scwuffy, BabyStan and Lacie, that we'd bettew clean the house fwom top to bottom aftew all ouw fwiends left...Mumsie can't find out what went on at hew house while she was gone

they didn't appweciate my suggestions at all..and said some vewy dewogatowy things about me

I'm suwe you'll agwee , when you see how owdewly evewything is on theiw bloggie, that it was the wight thing to do.

we washed the windows
babyStan was a little twepidatious about the heights

thewe wewe towews of diwty dishes to wash, but
it was impossible to keep them to the task at paw..they just wanted to play wif the soap bubbles

Lacie and b.Stan wewe totally mowose about washing floows (you'd think they nevew did chowes befowe)

and Stan made a hooge deal out of taking out a little gawbage

we had wemoved all the fuwnitoowe and had it cleaned, and painted the walls and did a last minute vacooming...but Scwuffy kept asking how come evewything looks diffewent...well Duhhhhhh..it's all clean..we even got flowews and lit a fiwe to welcome Mumsie back !

I'm suwe she won't suspet a thing..so pleez don't tell hew! Mum's the wowd!

  10. Asta: Things must've gotten pretty lively after we left. Muzzer says you are welcome to come for her pawties. Except, we always have to clean before the pawty...doesn't make much sense to me.

  14. You worked really hard. That party must have been wild, My lips (do I have lips?) are sealed. I never get in trouble cause I blame everything on my little brother Arrow. Even shredding papers and chewing on magazines.

  26. Asta, Asta...OH MY OH MY....she came home a day sooner than we expected...SHE GOT HOME TONIGHT!!!!! I KNOW we all moaned and complained...(though those little red sneakers YOU MADE ME WEAR to clean in were atrocious...and my paws are all wrinkled and my nails are ruined and I even think Stanley sucked up part of my tail in the vacuum cleaner) but YOU SAVED OUR BUTTS!

She ran around here and kept saying things like...oh DOGS, how nicely you kept everything...

THERE WAS ONLY ONE LITTLE PROBLEM.

UM...nobody emptied the litter box. Yep. And it was very very full...Evidently, Opus musta drunk a lotta beer....we told Mumsie that it got very very cold here and it was just easier to use the box, but I have NO IDEA if she believed us or not. She was exhausted and went to bed.

Thank you EVER SO MUCH for helpin' us get the house back in order...you're the bestest of friends, Asta...we love ya Girl!

    Hugs and kissies...

  45. Dearest Asta! Did you notice I cleaned up the powder room before I left your house? I hope you did not get into any trouble after your mommy got home.
Asta I want you to do me a favor...a dear friend of mine wrote me a letter after I told her about you and I want your mommy to read it...here it is:
Oh my goodness! Don't you just have the most wonderful friends! You are so right that your message has put me into a very good mood all of a sudden.
What a looker Asta is, too. This reminds me, I almost named Piccola "Asti" (as in Asti Spumante). I wanted an Italian name and I liked the idea of honoring the famous Asta. I was trying to decide between Piccola and Asti, and M. actually made the final pick. He wanted Piccola after reading that the Italian Ferrari Grand Prix driver (I forget his name at the moment) named his baby son "Piccolo.")
The Big Apple! Wow. And I have a little story about that too. One day, probably 12 years ago now, I was walking in Central Park with a friend. Far off, I saw a group of WFT's walking with their people. I had been away for almost a week and missed my baby terribly so even though I am not much of a walker, I immediately began dragging my friend off in that direction saying I had to meet those dogs. We did catch up with them and I explained I how seeing the dogs made me miss mine. The women were very friendly, said they walked their dogs regularly in CP, that Joanne Woodward was in the group, and they said I and my dog would be welcome to join them! Right then and there I knew I had to move to NYC, but of course M. squelshed that plan. You must ask Asta's mom if she walks him in Central Park.
    Lorian

So Asta was your mommy in that group by chance? Maybe someday I will be able to come and visit you in the Big Apple...we used to live in the Little Apple...do you know where that is?
All my love, your friend always, Miss Peach
