Ambassadowial Visit fwom ovew the Big Pee

Just feast youw "mince pies" on this scene (as my dawling fwiend Ewic would say)
Look who's giving me tummie mooshies!
It's his Squawe Mom at my house all the way fwom ovew the big pee. WOOOOT!! (thanks Wuby fow that wowd)

a celebwatowy dinnew was held in the Squawe's honow , wif the attendance of my auntie Kawen and Bwuvvew Duffy
Mommi was in chawge of helping Me and Duffy taste the food befowe it was given to ouw most inpawtant guests
I wouldn't want to poison such special hoomans

accowding to Miss Enid's advice on Ate a Cat, using a pwopew linen napkin is de wigow(that's fwench fow ess enshall)

Squawe Ewic was dwessed in his festive, hat and insisted on keeping it on all thwough the evening ( I'll have to ask Miss Enid if that's pwopew? in my weading of the Ate a Cat book, boys may not weaw hatses indoows, but pawhaps Chwissmuss geaw is an exception to this wule)

Ewic had a good laugh wif ouw two Daddis..I pwefew giwl talk , so didn't join in

Even though it's not Chwissmuss yet, we weceived noomewous fantastic giftses and couldn't wait to open them

I weceived a fantastic toy that gets filled wif tweats and keeps me busy fow houws!!!!!
(this was just the tip of the giftbewg)

Squawe Mom admiwed ouw bootiful collaws that she bwought us
Duffy got one this time, and I think we awe soopew styling in them (they came all the way fwom Pawee,Fwance)

I've been pwoudly weawing mine since my last meeting wif Squawe mom in Boston

all the excitement made us a tiny bit tiwed and a nap was in owdew

I wegained my enewgy as soon as evewyone left
(Flat Ewic stayed the night and he and I stayed up singing Chwissmuss Cawols to Mommi's delight, hehehe)

any wequests?

OK Ewic , a one, a two, ........LAlalalalalalalalala

How was that?

the next evening Mommi and Daddi took a cab to whewe the Squawe's wewe staying , to meet wif auntie Jane, and auntie Kawen and be tweated to dinnew at a bootiful Westauwant

They stayed to gab till the wee houws of the night

dessewt and dwinkies wewe eaten in the lobby pawt of theiw hotel (OK only cewtain piggie Mommo's had the dessewt pawt), but she did shawe wif Flat Ewic , who was lucky enuff to be thewe

He is the most social and ewoodite of pups..
I am so honowed that he and his squawes came to visit us

Pee ess check out this bloggie..it's weally cool if you want to visit NY and like Nick and Nowa Chawles and Asta

We awe sooo lucky to have met and become good fwiends wif so many wondewful hoomans and theiw pups all doo these bloggies.
We awe so vewy gwateful to Gweg and Bwook fow making ouw lives wichew wif these fwiendships.

I just wead that DWB is on hold fow the time being..Big Chawlie's cwossing the Bwidge a few momfs ago, has made it hawd fow Gweg to continoo fow now.

Pleez go and tell them how gwateful we awe fow theiw wowk.
We've shawed ouw love, and joys and teaws, and all of it was made bettew because of the fwiends we've made.

Thank you fow that

  1. Eric's mom came all the way over just to visit YOU and give you presents. How exciting. I think you can forgive the flat Eric from some breaches of Eat a Cat given that he was suffering from jet lag.

  9. Asta, you have the best of times. What exciting visitors and we were so relieved that you tasted the food first!
We were a bit worried about how flat Eric had to be to visit.
Do you think he will return to his usualy cheeky wiry self?
The linen napkins would have been Ate a Cat we are sure.
We had no idea that you could play the piana Asta, you never cease to amaze us.
We have also read about DWB having a break and you are right, perhaps we are all taking all that hard work for granted!!
    We will go visit.
    love you lots

We agree that we owe a great dea; to Greg and Brooke and are grateful every day for all the good friends we've made thanks to their initiatives.

Will Eric's hoomans come back in July for the DWB get-together?

    Wirey love,

  14. Like Gussie and you, we threw our paws in the ring in case there is a shortage of foxies for the walk.

Lots of other interesting walks too -- thanks for the referral.

  22. Asta, you are such a splendid host. I bet you had a wonderful time singing Christmas carols with Flat Eric (I can just imagine the sound...)
I am considering travelling flat in the future if it means I don't get left behind when the humans go out to nice restaurants.
Cheers, Hamish (who is very much three dimensional, if not more)

  24. Asta. This blog post just goes to show how very special the friendships are that have been created because of Greg and Brooke's ideas and hard work. The happiness and joy pour from the pictures (and we can hear the rejoicing in your carols). We're so happy you shared with us how wonderful it is when some of the doggies and their families can get together to laugh and talk and share the common bond that they have - the love of us four-legged (and four-wheeled ... just HAD to add that) furries.

Enjoy the rest of their visit. We're putting Moma on the task of flattening us, so at least WE can zoom to the gatherings, even if she can't. It looks like sooooo much fun!

Love to everyone. And we mean EVERYONE! We know you are great at delivering it. Please do.

  25. Asta! You are so lucky. And now my mommy is going to visit you too. Can you believe that? She'll talk to you later. She says I can't talk to anyone, because I will only complain about being stuck at home. But mom finally has dates and will call your mom later.
