  13. Oh. Big Sigh. Now Baxter is in the arms of angels. We know that his family and all those he touched are grieving - hopefully the rich memory of him will ease them through this transition, just as Baxter eased the transition of so many others. This loss is huge. It reminds of us why it is so hard to say "goodbye."

Thank you, Asta, for drawing our attention to his passing. We've been to his website - and it moved us even more. What an incredible example of love.

    Love from us

  14. Just when I think the mom won't cry anymore I find that I am wrong. This was such a lovely tribute to Baxter. What a wonderful doggie he was. Now forever he is free to run and play without feeling ill or hurting with his friends that were waiting for him.
It looks like you all really had a fun retirement party. I wish I could have gone but maybe the next time. Someond had to stay behind and watch over things.

  22. Oh Asta...what a bootiful tribute to sweet Baxter!!! He gave of himself to heal others...obviously just his presence in the room helped give courage and dignity to the patient...what a gift to be able to do!

So dry you tears dear girl...Baxter is being well-rewarded for his life's work...I know not only is he runnin around the Bridge sniffin' good sniffs, but he's probably figurin' out a way to help other animals who have gone there, too....healers who love don't just stop with this life...
