Thinking of you all on this sad anniversary. Just after 9.11 I bought my first American flag which I kept on my terrace in America. Each year on this day, I hang it from my terrace here in Italy.
True heroes I had never seen that one. Dogs do so very much for humankind. We thought of them on this day too. Thank you for putting that up. Now I need to find my Kleenex. Suuny,Scooter&Jamie -all bowing our heads in respect.
We were planning to write something about 9/11 on our blog -- but seeing that beautiful tribute to the canine heroes, we decided just to ask our pals to come visit you and look at those powerful images.
Mom got that faniliar leaky-eye syndrome and lump in the throat as she watched.
And there are people in this world who mistreat dogs? How could they with all this evidence of what we do for our humans when they do such terrible things to themselves?
You are so right, we must never forget about all of the lives that were lost on that terrible day many years ago. What a nice tribute you made for those innocent lives that were taken.
Wow...that is a truly touching video. Mom says she didn't know that there were so many doggies involved...they are really heroes! Thanks for sharing the video. Even though we're not from America, we still can't forget that terrible day.
Dear Dr. Asta, Every 9-11 after that year 2001, our hearts go out to all the Newyorkers who lived and died for our freedom. My mom and us doggies couldn't control our emotion while watching the video. This morning, I thought of you, Asta, the lovely girl living in New York in a lovely home. I'm proud to be your friend! Cheers!
What a lovely tribute to all the heroes! We are so touched to see especially the tired looks of the dogs, knowing that they had been working very hard at helping with the rescue.

Those dogs are true heroes. I know that many of them later became very ill from exposure to the hazardous materials.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this awesome video. On so many levels, what would we do without our pups?
ReplyDeleteWe bow our heads in prayer and the pups have their paws crossed.
