    Dearest Miss Asta, that lovely photograph of you with your perfect nose in the purple hydrangeas reminds me of the days I spent with my Foster SquareFamily, amongst the bobbing daffodils. Oh how I wish I had wheels so that I could surprise my mother with a bouquet of spring flowers. I have noticed only one out of our window ... I'm afraid the rest are still weeks behind.

    You are such a lovely girl. I so appreciate your wise and wonderful ways. Perhaps you will eventually have some influence over some of those other wirey and wily ones.

    hi Asta, your nose is the best! it's so CUTE! our human loves dog noses! she says they are irresistible and YOU are irresistible too!

    thank you for the nice comments you made about our new pup. our human thinks it is our responsibility to help out one needy pup. we have room on our bed for another small dog. hee hee! human says that i, Bailey and Baxter and human all sleep on the same side of the bed! there is one-half of the bed that is empty.

    our new pup will be close to your size, maybe you can woof together. we hope he is okay with us (and human hopes we are okay with the little guy). it will work out.

    ASTA! SISSIE! We finally got to come visit! We keep trying and trying, and today the door opened!

    My, what a shiny nose you've got. Moma has taken to wiping our little snooters with a warm washcloth every morning (oh, the humiliation!) and following it up with ... NOT the fancy nosegloss that Lac inquired about ... but VASELINE! If it made our noses look as lovely as yours, we wouldn't mind. But I'm afraid we are still all dry and crusty. And we don't even have mulch to blame for it. Sigh.

    Now. On another note. First, we want to apologize for Winston's typing error. He meant to mention your lovely purple hyacinths, not hydrangeas. But, no matter. We think we have a little plan in mind. We'll keep you posted!
