Winter Days Inside

The light in ouw apawtment in the late aftewnoon is vewy bootiful..even though it's cold outside, we get weflected sunlight on the walls and on evewything

Pawt of the weason is this new hotel that is wight above whewe my wun is..it stwaddles the High Line..and old disoosed wail line that they'we tuwning into a pawk

the sunsets fwom acwoss the Hudson Wivew bounce off the glass and come into ouw living woom..we've had some pwetty cool skyes too

Mommi is hoping that the building enthoosiasts wun out of money fow a while and stop all this development..the Hotel is OK, but we don't want to lose ouw sky and ouw wivew view..even the highway wif all the lights is bettew than a building wight oppisite us would be

that pwetty sunset time weminds me it's cocktail time, hehehehe...............................................this is the top of Mommi's desd wif a pictoowe of Daddi when he was youngewew(I think he lookds dashing like my Stanley),then a pictoowe of Mommi and Daddi in theiw yoot, and Mommi's old caw wif theiw fiwst wiwe (my angel bwuvvew Nikki) in it
if you biggify the pictoowe you can wead the cawd..it's one of a billion Daddi made up to give to hoomans at Mommi's Birfday pawty..they all had diffewnt quotes fwom the Thin Man Movies

So in the gwand twadition of Nick and Nowa Charles..I'm going to have a mawtini

my BFF Lacie, and hew bwuvvews Scruffy and babyStan sent it to me

I finished all of it..miwacoolously the olive is still intact

DON'T FOWGET THE DEADLINE FOW MY STANLEY'S BEAWD CONTEST IS WEDNESDAY..SO GET THOSE PICTOOWES IN! PLEEEZ

  1. I wonder how many of those babies she slammed down befur buying one fur woo?

I mean, I'm sure she felt khompelled to taste test them - probably khyssed the bartender and all the staff!

Oh yes, why do hoomans feel khompelled to keep building?

No wonder lions and tigers and bears feel khompelled to roam the neighbourhoods...I mean, khoyotes, deer, and bears!

I have good news, remember in Oct there was a poor Puggy being abandonned in Taiwan, please come back to Dino's blog to witness a true loving story http://ilovedino.blogspot.com/

  10. Oh my. we love the light. Muzzer says this house is very much like a cave, and she is looking for ways to open it up without screwing up the historical facade. whatever, sure makes a nice place to nap.

  11. Asta - that martini is sooooo fabulous!!! We love it...
And yes - the development is such a problem! 27 houses were planned to be build RIGHT outside our house on the desert hill - but fortunately for now the builder went bankrupt and nothing happens.....
You can read about Notty and Luna at our blog today.
We are 5, yes: five!, now at The Cat Realm, the staff is going nuts....

  12. Hi kousin Asta,

Loved the pictures of your apartment in the sunset. It is very bootiful. Also, that building across the street with all the glass looks pretty cool. I bet you get some great views from that. You must have tons of great photos!

Sunset is always a good time to have a pawtini. I see that you really enjoyed yours!!

I like the pictures of your apartment and your Mommi's desk too.

  14. Astaroni FB O' Mine!

First off, you could NEVER disappoint me. You have the beard you have, and it's bootiful. I dream of tugging on it as we wrassle and play bitey face. (Need I say more on this? If you are not convinced that your are a fabulously gorgeous sweetpea with just the right beard, then I will have to do something else to convince you.)

Your pawtini looks mahhhvelous. Wherever did they get that thing?

We like looking at your mommi's desk. She is obviously displaying momentos and photos of those she loves! Your daddi has always looked very handsome I see, and your mommi is gorgeous (like YOU). Her car is very funky. We like it!

We hope the construction in your neighborhood stops soon, but we do like the reflection off of the hotel.

All my goober love & smooches,
    Your Stanley

  18. We don't get the sun until the afternoon evening, but we live in a narrow street. The building opposite is pretty though and we can chat to our neighbours through our windows. hehe.

  26. Old pictures are so much fun to look at, and they bring back great memories (so says my mom because I'm not old enough to know stuff like that).

I hope the construction stops soon, too, so that your beautiful views of the city aren't blocked.
